As I posted on Twitter and Linkedin, for 32,000-50,000 Euros one can buy/invest in a smartly made (renovated) small apartment in Athens, Greece.
Eg the one I'm currently using.
30m2, 10 minute walk from the Athens subway, 2 minute walk to buses and yellow buses. 24/7 hour delis and two major chain supermarkets in very close vicinity.
This flat was worth 8,000 before the partial renovation which cost me 2,000.
After this renovation and the recent econ developments in Greece, it's worth at least 42,000 as it is and 50,000+ fully renovated according to the buyer's exact specifications.
